Her Heart Australia

December 2024

Her Heart was founded to empower Australian women with essential knowledge and tools to address heart disease, the leading cause of death among women. Guided by four pillars—awareness, education, research, and advocacy—Her Heart develops resources, programs, and initiatives focused on prevention and early intervention. The organisation offers a membership portal, webinars, a pioneering Women’s Risk Assessment, and an annual conference, providing both women and health professionals with evidence-based information and resources. Health professionals also benefit from tools like the Report Card and other educational materials aimed at improving women’s heart health outcomes across Australia.

Mission

To improve the heart health of Australian women with long-lasting impact. To be the ‘go-to’ place for women to access accurate information. To make women’s heart health a top priority in the health, government, business and community sectors

About Her Heart Australia

Founded by Professor Linda Worrall-Carter in 2015, Her Heart is Australia's only charity dedicated exclusively to women's heart health. Prof Worrall-Carter recognised the critical gap in public awareness around heart disease as the leading cause of death for women in Australia. Her Heart was established to empower women with knowledge and deliver important resources. Underpinned by four pillars—awareness, education, research, and advocacy - Her Heart is driven to create lasting change. The organisation offers digital tools, educational programs, and community-led initiatives to help women recognise symptoms, understand their risks, and take preventive steps.
